Client Testimonials
This is what a time-stretched first time applicant who had to write two applications in one weekend had to say:
“Never having applied for a Government role before, I had no idea as to the extent of what was required to fulfill the selection criteria element of the application. I had heard it was a tricky process with a lot of trappings for new players to be unsuccessful, so I decided to look for some help – and I found it! Dawn’s books were nothing short of a god-send.
They took the guess-work out of applying for a Government role through each stage – from understanding the job description to successful interview techniques. In a weekend, I successfully completed 2 job applications with the help of these books for an A05 and A06 role. I got through to interview stage for both of them!
Without this information, I don’t believe I would’ve had that huge success. I have recommended these books to numerous people I have since met, who are going through the same stress I did. They are a definitive guide for how to make a break into that Government job you want!”
Thanks again Dawn. I will let you know how I get on with my new role.
Kind regards
Lisa
Here's what a first time applicant has to say about the Selection Criteria Toolkit ...
The same weekend I picked up the book, I read it from cover to cover and I can assure you, no one has written a book (on Selection Criteria) which has given me the confidence I have now. I am not worried about writing a selection criteria now. Your book covered everything I wanted to learn and know and was obvious it was meant for someone who was writing a selection criteria for the first time.I wish you all the best with this book and many others you might write. You have done a good job with this one - easy reading with lots of learning. Excellent book Dawn. I will always treasure it.

And this is what a Specialised Employment Agency had to say... We are an Open Employment Service in South West Queensland which specialises in gaining employment for people with Disabilities of all types. We assist from the basics of Resume writing and cover letters to more complicated applications requiring Selection Criteria. I found that no matter how much you think you know about applying for a job, Dawn's book “Selection Criteria Toolkit” really is the essential guide to writing and checking job applications.
Thanks Dawn, your book is a great resource for our clients and an excellent user guide for not only our new staff but all our staff. Greg Murr Co-Ordinator – Bridge Employment - Dalby
The following comments are from a Public Relations Graduate applying for her first job:

I had my graduation ceremony today, and I now feel ready to throw myself into looking for a job. With your help, I now feel confident sending my resume out to potential employers.

The following comments are from an applicant looking for a full time role in a government department
Thank you for your promptness in dispatching the book I purchased - Selection Criteria Toolkit, and for your good wishes. I have worked in the Customer Service area throughout my career - working in both the Government and the Banking industry. I am, like yourself, absolutely passionate about quality customer service, and whenever I have trained and/or mentored staff I have always made a point of this. I have been employed by a Government Department as a full time temporary employee for a period of 20 months, and the opportunity has arisen for two permanent positions. I found your book to be an excellent reference for me. I found it easy to understand and have followed some of the principles outlined. Once again, thank you very much for having written such a comprehensive book.
